Mature Aged undergraduate students are members of ANUSA and able to access all our support services and advocacy.
ANU defines mature aged students as students who are over the age of 21 when they begin their undergraduate studies.
ANUSA’s campus life, advocacy, and welfare services are all accessible to mature aged undergraduate students.
ANUSA affiliates a range of clubs and societies, that offer unique educational, sporting, cultural and social opportunities to members. Check out the list of all our clubs here.
ANUSA also runs specific quarterly events for Mature Aged Students. If you use facebook, join the group for the ANUSA Mature Aged Students Committee. If you don’t use facebook, email firstname.lastname@example.org to get connected to the mailing list.
If you are facing structural issues in your studies and campus experience as a result of being a mature aged student, please let us know – our advocacy is all about ensuring structural changes to minimise disadvantage.
Feel free to send an email to email@example.com with your concerns and we can discuss what could be done to address the issue.
If you need advocacy on any other issue – we can do that too! Check out some of the issues we advocate for under the Advocacy tab, and send us an email if you’ve got any questions.
The Student Assistance Unit at ANUSA provides support, advice and assistance to undergraduate ANU Students. University can be hard to navigate and the Student Assistance Officers are here to help. The Student Assistance Officers are professional staff, not current students, and confidentiality is assured. To find out more about what our Student Assistance Officers can help with, go to: https://anusa.com.au/services/studentassistance/

This grant exists to assist students who have children in their care, who are experiencing, or expect to experience, financial hardship. The aim of the grant is to assist to alleviate situations which may become a barrier to completion of your program of study.
