The ANUSA Election is OpenVote Now

Voting closes 12pm Thu 28 September

Dear students,

Voting in the ANU Students’ Association Election is now open and I strongly encourage you to take this opportunity to cast a vote.

ANUSA is your voice to the University and organises the campaigns that protect student interests. While there are many ways to get involved in ANUSA through the year and have your input into student advocacy and activism, elections are perhaps the most significant opportunity.

In addition to enabling the student voice, ANUSA also runs a suite of student services. From our Student Assistance Team and ANUSA Legal Service to the Clubs and Societies program, O-Week and Bush Week and the BKSS, we provide services that help students when they need it and enrich the student experience.

This means that the students you elect this week will have responsibility for a budget of several million dollars. It is a significant responsibility, so take your time to understand the candidates and tickets and cast your vote carefully.

Woroni has released analysis of tickets and candidates that you can read here. Candidates also had the opportunity to provide manifestos (short policy statements) which are available on the voting website.

To vote, visit www.voteanusa.com. All students, undergraduate, postgraduate and HDR, can vote.

Voting closes this Thursday (28/9/23) at 12pm.

Kind regards,

Ben Yates
