Housing Tips

Accommodation at ANU

ANU offers 18 different residences situated across the Acton campus. The residences offer catered, self-catered, or flexi-catered arrangements, designed to suit the needs of both undergraduate and postgraduate students.

The ANU accommodation guarantee covers all students, including international and postgraduate students. This means that every student who applies before the guarantee deadline will receive an offer of accommodation in one of our on-campus residences or any other ANU-approved accommodation.

ANU offers a number of bursaries and scholarships to support student accommodation costs, such as the ANU Residential Scholarship. Residents experiencing financial difficulties may apply for the Emergency Accommodation Bursary.

Living off-campus

In order to secure off-campus accommodation, it is important to familiarize yourself with the local rental options. Canberra has a very competitive housing market and it can be challenging to secure an accommodation.

ANUSA has compiled some housing tips to give you a headstart in finding accommodation during your time at ANU.
