Special Consideration 
If you, or anyone you know, is experiencing extenuating circumstances which are impacting student’s ability to perform well during an assessment or exam then applying for ‘special consideration’ is highly recommended.

Deferred Examination

If applying for special consideration will not address your situation, then you can also choose to apply for deferred examination. Deferred exam means “sitting of an examination at a time other than the scheduled time/date”. These include mid-term and final exams but not the regular assessments.

Student Assistance Support
The Student Assistance Team at ANUSA provides support, advice and assistance to undergraduate ANU Students. University can be hard to navigate and the Student Assistance Officers are here to help. The Student Assistance Officers are professional staff, not current students, and confidentiality is assured. The service is free.
