On 12 June 2024, ANU announced that they will not extend the licenses of four on-campus childcare services, effective January 2025.
This affects both staff and students at the university.

Share your story with the NTEU
The NTEU is collecting stories from parents and caregivers about the impacts of the decisions being made by ANU Senior Executive. They hope to use these stories to make sure the voices of ANU staff are heard and advocate for improved consultation on matters that affect NTEU members and their families.

On 12 June 2024, ANU announced its plans to cease the license of four community-based not-for-profit childcare and preschool centres from January 2025. This decision was made without consulting the hundreds of families and staff impacted by the decision. The centres impacted include University Preschool and Childcare Centre (UPCCC), Heritage Early Childhood Centre, Cubby House on Campus and Acton Early Child Care.
