Amnesty International Society

Amnesty ANU is a student-directed club focused on promoting human rights advocacy and awareness both locally and on a wider scale. Our main aims are to: (a) promote the protection of human rights as given by the United Nations Human Rights Charter (b) raise awareness of global human rights abuses (c) actively campaign to pressure governments and others to stop human rights violations (d) increasing student and youth participation and awareness in issues of human rights. We run all sorts of events, from letter-writing campaigns to fundraisers and are always looking for more like-minded people to get involved. To keep up to date with what we're doing, follow us on our socials at: Amnesty ANU https://www.facebook.com/amnestyanu and Amnesty ANU Social https://www.facebook.com/groups/381109898684973
