Noodle Nights, Dog Visit, Free Fitness

It’s that time of year again when exams are just around the corner, so take a moment for yourself with ANUSA’s Less Stresstival. We’ve got two weeks of de-stressing activities happening in the BKSS from Monday 28 October to Fri 8 November.

Come along to our noodle nights, say hi at our dog visit, or attend a free fitness class, we’ve got something for everyone!

Migration Mondays

JOIN US FOR OUR FREE WEEKLY MIGRATION DROP-IN SESSION!

Do you have general questions about migration and visas? Wondering what your work limitation hours are during the summer break or questions about the 485 visa? The ANUSA Legal Service is opening a walk-in, drop-in session every Monday at 2:00-3:00 PM! Whether you are navigating general questions or just looking for quick guidance, our legal team is here to help!

Location: In-person at the ANU Coffee Lab
When: Every Monday at 2:00 PM – 3:00 PM (excluding Public Holidays and closure periods)
What to Expect: Legal information on visa and migration, casual setting where you can ask us anything visa related.

No question is too big or small—come by and get the support you need! We look forward to seeing you!

 

Shut Up and Write (HDR)

Free meal | Focus on productive writing | Connect with other HDR candidates

Shut Up and Write sessions are for you to get together regularly and focus on short, intense bursts of productive writing in a supportive environment, using the Pomodoro Technique. This technique involves writing in silence for 40 to 50 minutes bursts, with regular ten-minute rests for coffee, snacks and chatting. October dates now live.

Complaining About Your Occupancy – The Powers of The ACT Human Rights Office 

If you have a dispute about an occupancy, you can make a complaint to the ACT Human Rights Commission (including making a complaint about university provided accommodation from 30 January 2022). The Human Rights Commission can provide you with an independent forum to conciliate your dispute. This is in addition to your rights to make an application to the ACT Civil and Administrative Appeals Tribunal. 
 
The ANUSA legal team can help guide you through this process.

ANUSA Clubs Coffee Catchup

Calling all ANUSA Club Executives! With exam season coming up, come grab a free cuppa with the ANUSA Clubs Team and wind down a bit before it gets busier again! We'll be putting on some yummy pastries, savoury snacks and you just have to bring the vibes. Don't forget to invite the rest of your club's team!
 

Clubs Induction Day Training
Fri 22 November
ANUSA Clubs Induction Day Training is a one-day long training that upskills club leadership to achieve big in 2025, covering topics such as Committee management, event planning, club finances, ANUSA services, conflict resolution, handovers, and respectful relationships. By the end of this session, you should have begun work in organising an event for O-Week, and will have the skills, knowledge, and connections to succeed in your role in 2025!

Grab a free breakfast on campus at the BKSS. We now have hot chocolate, cocoa pops and raisin toast available at the BKSS! Come down for breakfast every weekday 8.30-10am.
