Struggling with money? ANUSA can help with direct financial assistance.

We have a range of grants available, including our Assistance Grant, HDR Completion Support Grant, Medical Grant, and lots more.

We also offer programs for things such as transport vouchers, lunch vouchers and grocery vouchers. All students are eligible to apply for our grants and programs.

ANUSA Skill Up Program

Applications for ANUSA Skill Up Program are now open for Semester 2.

ANUSA’s Skill Up Program is designed to help students find casual work while studying at ANU. The program will help equip you with skills and certifications to help find casual employment.

ANUSA is offering to reimburse students up to $200 for relevant certifications/skills.

If you need advice on an intellectual property agreement or on legal questions to do with commercialisation of a business idea or innovation, ANUSA’s legal team can help. Students see us with questions about IP Assignments and licensing, legal structures for business ideas and other questions.

YWC is doing a drop-in session at the ANUSA office 9am-2pm on Monday 16 September! They can help with:
- Wage Theft (including no penalty rates, unpaid shifts, etc.)
- Your rights at work (e.g. lunch breaks, length of shifts, treatment)
- Helping you join your union!

BIPOC x BASC Mixer

Woroni - Call for Submissions

ANU's student magazine Woroni s calling for submissions for its latest magazine, "Upside Down"! They're looking for pitches, stories, poems, essays, comics, and more about all things strange and subversive: unpopular opinions, deep dives into conspiracy theories, new perspectives, and more!

Submissions close on the 13th of September at midnight. Send in your work to write@woroni.com.au, or join the Woroni Contributors Facebook page to find out more!

 

Shut Up and Write (HDR)

Shut Up and Write sessions are for you to get together regularly and focus on short, intense bursts of productive writing in a supportive environment, using the Pomodoro Technique. This technique involves writing in silence for 40 to 50 minutes bursts, with regular ten-minute rests for coffee, snacks and chatting.

HackANU - ANU Entrepreneurship Club

A thrilling, high-stakes competition where innovation meets intensity. A new-age extreme sport, where in a team of 3-4 eager participants, you will push your limits to develop a working prototype in under 24 hours. At the end of the 24th hour, you and your team will have the opportunity to pitch your prototype to a panel of successful founders, leading academics, and industry professionals for your chance to win a share of the $2,000 cash prize pool!
