ANU Disabilities Student Association

The ANU Disabilities Student Association is an autonomous collective created to advocate on behalf of students who identify as having a disability or are registered with Access and Inclusion.

We hold regular events focusing on advocacy and awareness, as well as meetings, informal coffee catch-ups, and major campaigns such as Spoon Week.

The ANU Disabilities Student Association aims to provide students with a disability with a safe, social space in which they can fully engage in the university experience.

ANU BIPOC Department

The BIPOC Department are the official committee dedicated to ensuring the voices of BIPOC students are represented at ANU. You can get more information through their autonomous Facebook Group or follow their non-autonomous Facebook Page.

Environment Collective

The ANU Environment Collective is for anyone who wants to learn about and take action on environmental and social justice issues. We run (and win!) campaigns, discuss ideas, screen documentaries, road trip through communities and heaps more. New faces are always welcome!

International Students' Department

ANU International Students’ Department (ISD) is the university’s peak representative body for international students. We are working hard to engage international students, facilitate for integration between domestic and international students and advocate for international students at all levels of the University.

Queer* Department

The Queer* Department provides services to all LGBTIQA (lesbian, gay, bisexual, trans*, intersex, questioning and or asexual or queer* for short) students at the ANU.  We run social events, advocate, and run political campaigns.

We provide a lovely room on campus that is available to all queer* identifying students. The space has couches, tea, coffee, snacks, a TV (with movies!), a Wii console and some lovely snacks and Nutella.  Come in and play some video games, make new friends, or get some study done in our quiet study area. Meetings working bees and movie nights are also held in the space so be sure to get swipe-card access so you can use it 24/7!

Women’s Department

Indigenous Department

The Indigenous Department provides services for all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students at ANU. It advocates for a sense of purpose, the exchange of ideas between Indigenous students, and the sharing of information between our mob and the wider ANU community. The Indigenous Department conducts recreational, cultural, and educational activities for students, and advocates for Indigenous issues both within the ANU and in the broader community.
