How fast is your Wi-Fi?

Ever wondered how fast your Wi-Fi really is? Think of Wi-Fi speed as the speed limit on a digital highway. It determines how quickly your data can travel, affecting everything from streaming your favourite shows to uploading assignments.

Why does it matter?

  • Download speeds: Crucial for streaming, browsing, and downloading files.
  • Upload speeds: Key for video calls and sharing files.

Fast and reliable Wi-Fi is essential for our university community to collaborate and connect seamlessly.

Curious about your Wi-Fi speed?

If your Wi-Fi speed is consistently slow, check out our top tips to enhance your experience. Want to learn more about what makes a good Wi-Fi speed? Head over to Get connected at ANU | Services  for all the details.

Freedom of Information requests are how we hold the university to account, and are vital to campus activism and to groups like the Environmental Collective and the Education Committee. In this session, the ANU FOI team will explain what an FOI is, how they work, how to file one and how to access them. Anyone can file an FOI (for free!) and they're useful for a broad range of things. Snacks will be provided.
