Getting student support from ANUSA is now easier than ever! 

No more emails to the Student Assistance Team — simply use the new student assistance form for everything. It’s your one-stop place for support, and the process is quick, clear, and just a few clicks away.

You’ll still need to meet the criteria for each program or grant (academic issues, disciplinary matters, financial assistance, etc). Check ANUSA website before you apply

Each year, a new ANUSA team is elected. All positions are held for a period of one year, beginning December 1st and ending November 30th the following year.

Clubs & Union Ball

Join ANUSA for the 2025 Clubs & Union Ball - Sorry for Party Rocking, on Friday the 10th of October at Rex Hotel Canberra.

Club awards will be presented on the night, but you don't have to be part of a club to come along.

Come along to Badger & Co and take some time to unwind after your week. Each attendee will be provided with a voucher to grab some dinner or a snack and a non-alcoholic drink. This event is open to ANU Postgraduate and HDR students. Registrations open one week before the event.

ANUSA invites all ANU HDR students to our monthly coffee catch-up, this month at Atticus Cafe from 9.30–10.30am on Thursday 18 September. Enjoy a free cuppa, connect with peers, and chat with your HDR rep.

This workshop aims to cover various migration topics that HDR students may experience, such as student visa conditions, rights and responsibilities, visa options after graduation (including 485 visas) and permanent Residency pathways.

HDR Shut Up and Write

The ANUSA HDR Shut Up and Write weekly sessions are for HDR students to get together regularly and focus on short, intense bursts of productive writing in a supportive environment, using the Pomodoro Technique. This technique involves writing in silence for 50 minutes bursts, with regular ten-minute rests for coffee, snacks and chatting. Free meal included. Bookings essential.

 

From Campus to the World: Careers in Leadership & Diplomacy

Ever thought about a career in global leadership or diplomacy? Hear from three ANU alumni who are now Ambassadors to Australia (from Bhutan, Cambodia and Indonesia). Moderated by Penny Williams PSM, the panel will share how ANU shaped their paths and what life as a diplomat is really like.
