School of Art and Design Hardship Bursary

The School of Art & Design Financial Hardship Bursary is designed to provide financial support to eligible School of Art & Design (SOA&D) students who are experiencing financial hardship. The main criteria for a grant are the demonstration of a genuine need and that continued study may be in jeopardy due to financial hardship.
SOA&D Students can apply for any amount up to the maximum amount. The maximum grant available is $3000 per student. The ANU Students’ Association assesses applications.
This bursary is open to SOA&D students who are:

- Currently enrolled in a SOA&D Program (full list of eligible programs can be found here)

- Enrolled on a full-time or part-time basis.

- Studying a postgraduate or undergraduate degree.

- Able to demonstrate financial need.
The bursary may be used to cover costs such as:

- Unexpected medical bills

- Accommodation (such as a bond)

- Short-term living expenses

- Emergency travel costs
Please note, this fund is not meant to be accessed as a “buffer fund” for non-immediate use.
Additional Information: Please provide us with your enrolment confirmation letter and a 60-day transaction history from all bank accounts in your name in PDF format.
