Birth Control Subsidy

Overview

The ANUSA Birth Control Subsidy is designed to support enrolled students at the ANU who need financial support towards their birth control/contraception prescriptions, regardless of which pharmacy they choose to purchase from.

Successful applicants will be provided with a 50% reimbursement of eligible birth control/contraception prescription up to the amount of $250 per year. Students must submit their reimbursement within 2 weeks of purchase.

Eligibility Criteria

Please note: Purchases of condoms and menstrual products are not eligible, but both are usually available at the BKSS Mutual Aid shelf. An Intrauterine Device (IUD) is also covered under this program. Any costs associated with obtaining the prescription or insertion will not be covered; this subsidy only provides support for the prescription itself.

If you face financial hardship and require assistance for birth control-related medical costs, please apply for the ANUSA Medical grant for further assistance.
