ANUSA union Pantry

ANUSA is pleased to announce Union Pantry, a student-led, free food and essential items service for ANU students.

Union Pantry provides resources to students without any specific requirements.

The pantry is run by ANUSA staff and volunteers.

Key details about the ANUSA Union Pantry:

What is it?:

A student-run service providing free food and essential items to ANU students. Union Pantry is funded by your Student Services & Amenities Fee (SSAF).

When is it?

Friday afternoons in term-time from 2pm to 4pm

How it works:

Operating on the principle of mutual aid, ANU students can access the pantry’s resources without any specific conditions. Students should register in advance through the link. A maximum of 50 students can register for each 2 hour session to collect up to 5 free items. You must register in advance to access the pantry.

How to get involved:

ANUSA welcomes student volunteers to help run the pantry. Interested students can email their interest to sa.community@anu.edu.au

Location:

The ANUSA Union Pantry is located on the ANU campus on Kingsley Street under Warrumbul Lodge.

Impact:

We know ANU students are impacted by food insecurity and the cost of living crisis. We hope the pantry will become an established addition to our current welfare programs and become a valuable resource for students facing financial hardship.

Can I Donate? We welcome donations of non-perishable items from the community. Please call 02 6125 2444 or email sa.admin@anu.edu.au to discuss.

Other ANUSA initiatives:

ANUSA also runs Student Meals programs including BKSS Free Breakfast, Lunch Express & Student Bites further demonstrating our commitment to supporting ANU students.
