2026 National Student Safety Survey

Students enrolled at one of Universities Australia’s 38 member universities have the opportunity to complete the 2026 survey. The survey aims to ensure all student voices are heard, including women, men and gender-diverse students, Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander students, undergraduate, postgraduate, vocational and research students, students from LGBTQIA+ communities, students with disabilities, students from culturally and racially marginalised backgrounds, domestic and international students.

If you are a student aged 16 years or older, who was currently enrolled onshore in a course on 30th June 2026 at a participating university, you will receive an email from Roy Morgan inviting you to complete the survey.

The National Student Safety Survey gives eligible students an opportunity to share their experiences and perspectives on sexual violence and harm. You do not need to have experienced sexual violence or harm to take part. The survey is for all eligible students, and every student’s perspective matters.

Participation is voluntary and confidential. If you choose to participate, your experiences and perspectives can help inform positive change and contribute to safer campuses for current and future students.

CASS Student AI Consultation
The University is considering how to approach AI across teaching, learning, and research.
Currently, there is no university-wide AI policy (except the one regulating the editing of HDR theses) and using generative AI to produce written work is considered a breach of the academic integrity rules under the University’s existing policy framework.

This consultation session is an opportunity to discuss how AI is currently being used, the challenges and uncertainties researchers and students are encountering, and what a fair, practical and academically appropriate approach to AI might look like across CASS.

12:30pm, 6 October 2026

A big dialogue: Globalisation – gone for good?
Wednesday, 7 October – 5:30pm-9pm @ Burgmann College Dining Hall

Join a dinner and dialogue discussing the changing nature of globalisation and its role in shaping Australia's future. There seems to be a consensus that the postwar globalist economic order is breaking down, or has broken down already. You may know it by different names: the liberal international order, the Washington Consensus or neoliberalism. Whether you are a critic or champion, there aren’t too many bigger issues shaping the political, economic and social lives of everyday Australians.
