Australian National University Middle Eastern Studies Association

The ANU Middle Eastern Studies Association (MESA), formerly known as MECS, is the representative body for CAIS students. Our aim is to support and facilitate communication between students and staff  while also strengthening collaboration, cooperation, and student culture within the centre. Furthermore, we seek to provide engaging CAIS-related academic and networking opportunities for our members. MESA strives to achieve these objectives through a range of experiences such as social events, Arabic reading groups, embassy visits, and student representative meetings as well as other unique events.
