Latin American Students Association

Hola chic@s / Olá pessoal! We are the Latin American Students’ Association at the Australian National University. Our union is open to not only to Latin American students, staff, and alumni (including those of any heritage), and members of our wider Latin American community in Canberra, but also anyone who is interested in the peoples and cultures of Latin America. We run Spanish and Portuguese conversation groups, dance classes and other weekly events. Our guiding principles are…

Community- building a strong, vibrant and tight knit Latin American community in Canberra through events and community services. We not only include ANU, but also our community in Canberra.

Culture- promoting authentic Latin American culture both on campus and in Canberra.

Academia- empowering Latin American researchers & Latin American studies.

Advocacy- assisting Latin Americans at ANU & Canberra, and elevating Latin American perspectives

We don't have anything planned right now but check back soon!

We acknowledge the Ngunnawal and Ngambri people as the Traditional Custodians of the land on which ANUSA operates.
We recognise the continuing connection to lands, waters, and communities of all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people.
We pay our respect to Elders, past and present, and commit to standing with our first nations people.
