Hi, I’m Michael and I have been helping students with legal issues since 2013, when I joined the ANUSA. Before that I worked as a university lawyer at ANU and the University of Western Sydney. It is a privilege to be able to do this work together with a great team of lawyers and ANUSA colleagues on the beautiful ANU campus in Ngunnawal/Ngambri country, a place that brings together people from Australia and all over the world. My areas of work include employment, discrimination, migration and visa and intellectual property. In my spare time I love to write.
Hi, I’m Kat, a senior lawyer at ANUSA. A decade ago, I arrived on Ngunnawal/Ngambri land to study at ANU as an international student. I quickly fell in love with this land and the warm welcome of the people here. Fast forward to today, I bring a wealth of experience in community legal work, specializing in migration law, personal injury law, tenancy law, and discrimination law. My true passion lies in human rights law and its intersection with various legal fields. I aim to provide practical solutions alongside clear legal explanations to help you navigate and resolve issues effectively.
When I’m not practicing law, you can find me snowboarding in the snowy mountains, perfecting my jewellery-making skills (I have a deep love for gemmology!), or cuddling my corgi on the couch while watching MAFs. My mission is to inspire and educate students about their legal rights and be a friendly, approachable presence on campus.
My name is Kai, and I am grateful to call the Ngunnawal and Ngambri land my home for the past eight years. My journey has taken me from Singapore to Hawai’i, the Philippines, and finally to Australia, where I have had the privilege of living and working within diverse cultures and communities.
I bring a multifaceted background in criminal law, immigration law, and environmental policy and legislative work. I am especially passionate about advocating for housing, employment, and migrant rights. I aim to provide you with the resources and information necessary for you to thrive and empower you in your ability to make informed decisions. Outside of work, I am a keen traveller and gamer!
Hi, I’m Mason (he/him). I grew up on Wiradjuri land and have been living on Ngunnawal / Ngambri land for the last 10 years.
With a diverse legal background, I bring a wealth of experience to support your needs. I have spent a year assisting various community legal centres and four years in corporate law, covering administrative law, employment law, contracts, and legal technology. Additionally, I have one year of experience supporting a magistrate in court, dealing with criminal law and family violence orders. My goal is to provide clear, effective practical solutions tailored to your unique situation.
