International Students Department

About

The International Students’ Department (ISD) is ANUSA’s representative body for international students. ISD is run by students and is not part of ANU’s Administrative Division.

We aim to assist international students during their time at ANU - by helping them with university and academic procedures, educating them on their rights (such as employment rights) through workshops and events, and advocating for their wellbeing. We also run social events and other activities for the international community!

Get Involved
All ANU international students are automatically ordinary members of the International Students’ Department. If you’re keen to get involved, or to participate in our activities, join us at one of our meetings – we post them up on our Facebook (linked below!).

If you are a domestic student but have a similar experience to that of an international student in Australia, or are passionate about issues impacting upon international students' university experience and well-being, you are welcome to apply for an Associate Membership. Associate Membership allows you to have all powers possessed by an Ordinary Member, apart from power to vote at an election or a referendum conducted by ISD. You can apply for ISD Associate Membership at https://forms.gle/7EGLuGekZsXTm6Y58.

ISD recruits officers and executive members to help us run and execute events and other plans for the whole academic year. This typically occurs during early Semester 1. Check out our Facebook to see when we’re recruiting. You can also apply to become an ISD Global Ambassador: https://forms.gle/jpKNz1vjkaVQjMec9.
