Hi everyone,

My name is Will, I'm the President of ANUSA, our Students Association.

All undergraduate, postgraduate, and HDR students are members of ANUSA. That means you have full access to our range of services, from financial support to free and confidential legal advice. It also means we represent and advocate on your behalf to the University on key issues that matter to students.

With the significant changes occurring within the University this year, your ANUSA representatives have been working to ensure that the student perspective is front and centre. We have heard the issues some students are experiencing, from increased tutorial sizes to reduced class availabilities. The impact this is having on the quality of our education is a top priority for ANUSA. If you're concerned about what's happening, join us on the 13th of March in Kambri.

At the first Ordinary General Meeting (OGM) of the year on March 26th there will be constitutional amendments put forward, the proposed changes are available here. I encourage all students to read through the list of amendments and come make your voice heard.

In this newsletter you’ll find ways to get involved, how we are supporting students academically, legally, and financially, as well as important updates on what's happening in the University. I'd also recommend following us on social media and checking out our website www.anusa.com.au for more information!

Will Burfoot

2025 ANUSA President
