ANUSA Textbook Program

The ANUSA Textbook Program has now closed for 2026 semester 1 and will reopen in semester 2.

The ANUSA Textbook Program supports ANU students experiencing financial hardship to purchase prescribed textbooks required for their enrolled courses. Eligible students may receive up to $300 in reimbursement, assessed on a case-by-case basis. Please note that recommended reading materials are not covered under this program.

This is a reimbursement-based program, meaning students must purchase their prescribed textbook(s) before submitting an application. The program assumes that prescribed textbooks are compulsory for course participation. Applicants must provide a clear explanation of their financial circumstances and why they require additional assistance with textbook costs.

There are no restrictions on textbook format or place of purchase. Both physical and digital textbooks are eligible, and second-hand textbooks are also accepted, provided that proof of payment and a photo of the textbook are submitted.

Eligibility Criteria

Applicants must:

  • Be currently enrolled as an ANU student

  • Demonstrate genuine financial hardship and explain how this program will assist them
