Wins for Students - Graduations

After sustained advocacy from ANUSA, the university has made a commitment to return to two graduation ceremonies per year from 2027. This is a welcome change across campus for all students, particular our International Student community who have been so vocal about this issue for the past 12 months.

ANUSA looks forward to seeing how this commitment progresses and will be ensuring that student voice is absolutely at the core of its design.

Graduations should be a time of celebration and community. Returning to two graduation ceremonies and at a time that is most accessible for students is absolutely crucial for ensuring this remains the case.

Student Housing Issues

Are you in student accommodation dealing with broken appliances? Mouldy bathrooms? Locked into a college contract? ANUSA can help with issues relating to student accommodation through our ANUSA Legal team.

Additionally, if you're off campus and facing tenancy legal issues, we can also provide support.

Student Bites and BKSS Closed During The Break

Student Bites and the BKSS will be closed during the break. BKSS will reopen on 20 July. The Union Pantry will remain open on a reduced schedule. If you require financial assistance please visit this link.

MyWay+ Concession Deadline

Important update for students using public transport!

Your MyWay+ student concessions expire on 30 June 2026. If your concession expires and your card is not registered, your fare will automatically revert to a full adult fare.

To continue travelling on a concession fare, students need to revalidate their concession before it expires.

Creating a MyWay+ account to manage your concession, receive expiry reminders and ensure the correct fare is applied when travelling on buses and light rail. Students are encouraged to take action early to avoid paying a full adult fare.

To learn more and understand what options will work for you visit Transport Canberra’s website.

Don't skip brekkie. It's the one decision today you won't regret. Enjoy a Brekkie Burrito + any size barista coffee, all for $12 at GYG Dickson.
