Who we are

The ANU Society for the United Nations (ANU SUN) is one of the most active and operationally diverse student societies at the ANU. We're a student-led, multidisciplinary society that aims to invest in the next generation of global leaders, critical thinkers, and problem solvers here at the ANU. From conferences to career panels, ANU SUN is dedicated to providing value-driven events for our members, focusing on transferable skills development, engagement with international issues, and professional networking.

What we do

We're an incredibly active society, with events every week in 2021, focusing on three broad themes:

  • Career/Academia (Career workshops, industry panels, and wine nights with diplomats)
  • Social (Trivia Nights, Improv Night, Drinks, and soirees with embassies)
  • Model UN (MUN Workshops, mini-MUN, our capstone Australian National Model United Nations Conference)

Please check our Facebook Page for upcoming events, which you can find here: https://www.facebook.com/unsocietyanu/
