Regional, Rural and Remote Students Society

The Regional, Rural and Remote Students Society at ANU is a society that aims to facilitate events and initiatives for RRR students at the ANU. Our society focuses on promoting connectedness among RRR students at the ANU, particularly as RRR students must move away from their homes to receive tertiary education.

The RRRS Society runs social mixers, wellbeing events, and provides educational resources on our Facebook and Instagram to help RRR students navigate life at the ANU and in Canberra. Each year we also run our annual Regional Ball, our largest event of the year, which is renouned across the ANU campus.

We support advocacy for RRR students and their experience on campus, particularly low SES students, and have worked with First Year Experience and Access and Inclusion on collaborative projects to further the interests of RRR students at the ANU. We encourage all RRR students to attend our events, and to join the society where there are vacant positions.
